Red Coulee

Oops, NO TRESPASSING as of 2015.  I believe the friendly landowner passed away.

This easy and very beautiful ride is 20 miles east of Great Falls.  Very impressive and historic rail trestles and tunnels.  Bring a headlamp for the longest tunnel or ride it nearly blind.  Route is on private land so be courteous.  Landowner at parking spot is friendly.

  1. This ride looks wonderful. How long is it? Are you supposed to check in wit the landowner near the parking area? Do any of the landowners mind ?

    1. Length varies, check the map link. Landowner west of Belt Creek is Scott Urquart, west of the creek is Ty Malek. Phone numbers aren’t listed. I saw Scott driving by at parking spot. He didn’t stop to chat.

  2. We tried to ride this route yesterday and there is now a “No Trespassing” sign on a gate at the beginning of the trail.
